Welcome to the Cable Pullers page of Outsource Telecom. Outsource Telecom is one of the very few nationwide telecommunications staffing companies in the US. We specialize primarily in supplying crews of cabling installers for the following wiring projects:
- Structured Cabling
- Network Infrastructure
- Central Office Wiring
- Security and Fire Alarm
Many of our clients prefer installers with at least two years experience. We refer to these techs as Tech II's. If pricing is a major issue, our clients will ask us for Cable Pullers which are installers that are just getting started in the business. Believe it or not, but it is actually much easier for us to find higher level techs than lower level cable pullers who are just getting their feet wet. We prefer to send out higher level techs as well as we tend to have fewer issues with a higher paid tech. The lower level techs are more problematic for two main reasons:
- They don't make very much money.
- We have a hard time verifying their reliability because they have very little work experience. It's much easier to reference higher level techs because they normally have several different past employers that we can contact. Cable Pullers normally have very few, if any, relevant industry references.
So, we are more than happy to supply this level of technician. However, when pricing is a major concern, we highly suggest that you spend a few more dollars on the hourly rate and get a Cable Tech I. These techs have anywhere from 8 months to a year plus experience. They will have the required hand tools and they will be proficient terminating station jacks.
Following are the different level of techs that we supply on a temporary basis:
Structured Cabling Techs (All Levels):

| Cable Tech II | 2 years plus experience. Termination of 110 blocks and some patch-panel work. |
| Cable Tech III | 4 to 8 years experience. Ability to lead small and medium sized crews. |
Lead Tech |
These structured cabling professionals will have the same skill as Cable Tech III's as well as the experience of leading small crews |
